Using vitamins for treating infertility

Infertility is extremely delicate for people trying to have a child. There are drugs available, like Clomid, Serophene and Pergonal, but there are also plenty of vitamins that you can use instead. Find bellow how to use vitamins for treating infertility.

Vitamins recommended for men

  1. Vitamin C prevents the sperm from bunching, that is sperm agglutination. The sperm that is not bunched can move faster to the egg, increasing the fertilization chances. Thus, it’s recommended to take 200-1,000 mg of vitamin C.
  2. Vitamin E helps the production of sperm. It’s recommended to take 400 IU of vitamin E per day.
  3. Selenium prevents the sperm from oxidation. Selenium is a mineral contained by red meat and seafood, but it can also be found as a pill. It’s recommended to take 70 mg per day.
  4. Take vitamin B12 for increasing the sperm count.

Vitamins recommended for women

  1. For improving the hormone production, take vitamin A.
  2. Hormone production can be increased by B-complex vitamins, like: Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Pyridoxine, Biotin, Folic Acid and Cyanocbalamin.
  3. Take vitamin c for improving the production of cervical fluid which helps the sperm reach the egg.
  4. Vitamin E improves the quality of the egg. Thus, it’s recommended to take vitamin E.
