Directions for preventing anorexia



  • It's extremely important to teach children when they are young to eat and exercise for health and not for a perfect body. Don't encourage them to keep a diet.
  • Pay attention to teens and listen to them when they are complaining about the fact that they are fat.
    For preventing anorexia be sure that the diets they are following are responsible and don't let them to ever exercise.
  • Be non-judgmental with your child in order for him to be able to discuss with you his fears and anxieties.
  • Be careful when you describe people's bodies as derogatory words can frighten the children of how others see their bodies.
  • Don't make fun of anybody's body because teenagers are very sensitive regaridng this aspect.
